NARRATIVE BACKSTORY

the loop features a protagonist (dancer) called Captain Spectacular. She is a sci-fi superhero. Captain Spectacular has helped design a social and biological monitoring system. This system is run via digestable microcomputers that have been placed in all food and medicines. Everyone is now monitored on a molecular level 24 hours a day, and this monitoring contributes to our social credit. You can win or lose points according to what you do in your daily life and how fit and healthy you are. More credit = more freedom and opportunity. Less credit = less access to education, health resources and travel.

THE NARRATIVE OUTLINE
In the beginning of the performance Captain Spectacular is a shell of her former self. Over the course of the 30-minute performance she disconnects from the bio-monitoring system, the system that she helped to design, and rebuilds a system that allows for a communing between people and machines without data collection.
