UNEARTHED: Immersive Installation

Glen Eira City Council Gallery, AUSTRALIA. 9 June – 10 July 2022

Inspired by the wild spaces that exist within and around us, UNEARTHED is an immersive experience that will captivate audiences of all ages. Immersive lighting, 3D projection mapping and sound technology combine to create a space for audiences to access a microverse – a parallel universe and digital landscape, explored via their smartphones.

Featuring contemporary re-workings of images of First Nations shields (by Yorta Yorta artist Lorraine Brigdale), enlarged images taken under microscope, and a soundscape fusing spoken word, electronic music and local stories – the installation is an experience like no other. This innovative collaboration brings together PluginHUMAN, alongside Yorta Yorta artist Lorraine Brigdale and Mumbai-based new media artist Akshat Nauriyal.
